Meet The Authentic Coach

My Journey to Authentic Living

Beginnings in Self-Discovery

My interest in personal development and self-help began in my twenties, during my recovery from a mental health crisis. At that time, I was given You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay—a book I still return to and credit with saving my life. That book marked the start of a lifelong journey of self-awareness and growth.

A Career Rooted in Empowerment

After my recovery, I embarked on a 30-year career in the hairdressing industry. I was drawn in by the transformative power of a great haircut—not just to change appearances, but to heal and uplift. Over the years, I thrived as a hairdresser, teacher, and salon owner, motivated by a passion for serving others and empowering them to be their best selves.

Coaching Through Leadership

My coaching journey began in the salon. As an owner, I led my team not as a boss, but as a coach. I encouraged each member to explore their potential, work towards shared goals, and contribute to an environment built on authenticity and honesty. This approach laid the foundation for my later work as a coach.

Facing Challenges and Rediscovering Myself

In 2021, after navigating the pandemic with relative ease, I encountered some of my greatest personal and professional challenges. For the first time since my twenties, I felt broken. My identity had become so intertwined with the salon that when it was threatened, I felt lost. During this difficult period, a close friend reminded me of my strength and encouraged me not to let anyone steal my truth.

That moment sparked a three-year journey of self-discovery. With my team gone and my passion for the salon faded, I felt as though I was starting over. The prospect of climbing the same mountain again was daunting, especially knowing what the view from the top looked like.

Embracing Change and Finding Purpose

By the end of 2022, I recognized I was experiencing a mid-life crisis. Despite many achievements, I felt unfulfilled and directionless. The salon, once a place of joy, had become a daily reminder of pain. With no clear plan, I made the difficult decision to close the salon and step into the unknown.

I trusted that creating space would invite new opportunities—and it did. I joined the corporate world as an educator for a multinational brand. While I knew this wasn’t my ultimate destination, it was an important part of my journey. Here, I learned the true power of owning my abilities and standing up for what is right, often discovering that quiet confidence is more powerful than loud declarations.

Living Authentically

Most importantly, I rediscovered my passion for helping others. I realized I no longer needed external approval. Embracing imperfection and authenticity, I learned to simply be myself, without compromise.

Now, as I approach my 52nd birthday, I feel at peace and excited for the next chapter of my life. For the first time, I am living authentically—finding joy in simple moments, unaffected by others’ opinions, and intentionally choosing what fills the space ahead.

Inviting You on the Journey

My journey through midlife has become my passion and purpose: to help others discover their truth and live empowered, authentic lives. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your journey to an authentic life—one filled with joy, happiness, and success.
